Basic Licensing Instructions

Start the License Wizard

1. Windows: Click Start > Programs > IDL or ENVI menu item > License Wizard
2. Mac: Using the Finder, browse to /Applications/itt/IDL/LicenseWizard.app
3. Unix/Linux: Using X11 change directories to /usr/local/itt/idl70/bin/ and run ittlicense.

To Activate your license using the Internet

1. Select “Activate a license using the internet”
2. Login to the Exelis Website (www.exelisvis.com)
3. Enter your license number
4. Click Activate (This will build and activate your new license)
5. Click Next in the License Wizard, and you're licensed.

To Activate your license if you don’t have Internet Access

1. Select “Request a license if you don’t have internet access”
2. This opens a new window with the necessary information. Please send an email to support@exelisvis.com containing this information.

To Install a license you have received

1. If you have received an evaluation license or your activated license in an email, then select “Install a license you have received.”
2. For evaluation licenses, select the Evaluation license radio button. And fill out the three corresponding fields.
3. For Activated licenses, enter your license information in the window.
