Support for Basic Vector Feature Data

  • Sometimes just getting an image to the field isn’t all of the intelligence needed. An analyst may want to mark up an image by drawing a polygon or a line to indicate an Area of Interest (AOI). These vector features need to be delivered to the end user in the field with the image data.
  • By registering features with the IAS server, you can now stream point, line, or polygon features with your imagery.
  • The IAS Viewer has been updated to overlay the feature data on the image display. New controls allow you to change properties of the features and turn on or off the feature layers.
  • The feature data is stored as GeoJSON, and a utility to generate GeoJSON from Shapefiles is provided.
Convert NITF Metadata to GML

  • As GML adoption grows, some users prefer GML metadata over NITF metadata. A schema and conversion utility have been created and included with IAS to allow NITF metadata to be converted to GML. The GML can be registered to stream with an image so that, to a client, the received data looks like a GMLJP2 file.
IAS is Now OGC Compliant

  • The Web Coverage Service (WCS) in IAS, which enables a non-JPIP enabled client to request coverages from your raw data within a given file, has been officially certified by OGC to the 1.0 level, thus ensuring interoperability with other systems and reducing your technical risk.
  • “This product conforms to the OGC® Web Coverage Service Implementation, Revision 1.0.0. OGC, OGC®, and CERTIFIED OGC COMPLIANT are trademarks or registered trademarks of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. in the United States and other countries.”
