The ENVI product line offers a full suite of tools that help you interpret the geological features present in many types of imagery.
Spectral and radar tools can be used to map lithostratigraphic units and alteration zones on the basis of spectral signatures, structure, texture, and overlying vegetation. Spectral tools have also been used to detect natural oil seeps.

Topographic tools can add three-dimensional information about the land surface, enabling you to more easily visualize geological structure. The resulting maps can then be used to identify potential subsurface traps, and fractures along which hydrocarbons migrate. This will streamline field work by helping you target the sites with the most potential and providing information-rich base maps for field work.
Altogether, using ENVI products can reduce the costs involved in exploration, while at the same time increasing the chance of profitable returns.
