ENVI Student Edition provides you with the software tools you will need to prepare for a career in remote sensing, defense & intelligence, GIS, geology, geography, or any discipline that uses imagery for information.

Currently, most colleges and universities use ENVI+IDL in their GIS and Remote Sensing programs.

ENVI Student Edition Specifications

ENVI Student Edition includes the full functionality of our commercial ENVI + IDL license and includes complete electronic documentation.

ENVI Student Edition is also available to purchase with the IDL Advanced Math and Stats Module which integrates the comprehensive mathematical and statistical routines of the IMSL™ C Numerical Library.

Available for the following platforms:

   - Windows Vista, XP SP2, 7
   - Linux Kernel 2.6.9, glibc 2.3.4, GTK 2.4.13
   - Mac Intel/Power PC OS X 10.5.7, 10.6

ENVI Student Licensee Requirements

ENVI Student Edition is licensed for student use only. To complete your purchase, you must meet and/or complete all of the following requirements:

You need to be currently enrolled in an academic institution located in North America
If you haven't already - obtain a username and password by registering for a user account
You must use your academic email address when ordering - using a personal email address will delay the ordering process
Pay with a personal credit card - Purchase Orders or University credit cards are not accepted
Install and use ENVI Student Edition on your privately owned computer

ENVI Student Edition Limitations

Student licenses are valid for one year. Student Licenses are not eligible for renewal. For continued use after expiration, a new license must be purchased. Network licenses are not available. For Network licenses or classroom use of ENVI please email us with your specific needs at academicinfo@exelisvis.com.
